The Story Of This Portrait.

The subject of this portrait is Julia, my Aunt. At the time of this portrait, Julia had just turned 80 and completed chemo and radiation therapy. She was very happy to have that behind her and get back to her normal life. At the time, she was very self conscious about her short hair and "puffy" face. I think she looks just beautiful.

This painting is done with acrylic paint on 3 layers/sheets of 18"x24" plexiglass. Each sheet of clear plexiglass contains a part of the final image. The effect creates a 3 dimensional image that moves and changes as the viewers perspective changes.
